Summer Creation Excursions

Every Friday for 7 weeks, starting July 9

Once again we will be taking children ages 6-11 on an excursion adventure each Friday beginning July 9. Each Friday, children, ages 6 - 11 and their leaders will meet at the church parking lot at 10:45 a.m. to experience God’s creation together. We will return to the parking between 3:00 - 4:00 p.m. depending on the activity.
Total cost for all activities is $29.50 (or $25 if paid up front at the beginning of the season.). Children should bring a bag lunch and we will picnic near the site we are visiting that particular day. The church will provide cold drinks.
Enrollment is limited to 20 children, on a first come first served basis. If there is more interest we will try to make arrangements to include more children. The schedule is as follows:

Brochures including the schedule are available in the hallway near the children’s bulletin board.

Game Nights - Wednesday Wii

Voices of Youth

Sunday, July 18th
8:30am & 11:00am services
Celebration Center

Voices of Youth (VOY) is a mission outreach and education program of the Virginia Conference of the United Methodist Church whose purpose is to Awaken the UMC to Mission. VOY is a summer youth vocal choir that participates in mission work in the U.S. and abroad, and then shares their mission experiences via music and testimonies. Each year 30-40 high school youth travel to a mission site for approximately one week, followed by vocal concerts at a dozen or more Virginia UMC churches over the following 2 weeks. For more information on VOY please go to: http://www.voicesofyouth-va.org/.

The United Methodist Women will be providing lunch for this group after church. Our Youth are invited to join this group for lunch to spend time in fellowship with teenagers their own age from across the Conference. Youth interested in attending the lunch, please RSVP to June Munro.
