The United Methodist Women meet the 3rd Tues. morning of every month from 9:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. for craft workshops.
All are welcome to join us for fun and fellowship as we prepare for our 2012 Craft Sale. If you wish to stay for lunch, bring a light luncheon item to share.

Join us for classes every Friday from 6:00 to 7:15 p.m. in the Celebration Center.

Men’s Fraternity 2011-2012

Begins September 29th
“Winning at Work and Home”
Meets on Thursdays at either 6:00 am or 7:00 pm in Room 28 for an hour and a half of learning and fellowship that will challenge and fulfill you. The only cost is $10 for the workbook.

Upward Practice

Spiritual Disciplines
4-Week Bible Study

Wednesday 6:00-7:30 pm
January 25th -February 15th

Start off the New Year right by implementing spiritual disciplines within your daily life through this Bible Study. Each participant will take a spiritual gifts inventory to help discover his or her own spiritual gifts. With this knowledge, they will learn how to develop spiritual disciplines that may be lacking from their lives through the study of hospitality, prayer, Christian confession, fasting, Sabbath, and worship.

Ms. Gerry will have an activity for children kindergarten through 5th grade at the same time. Please let Ms. Gerry know if you plan to bring your children.

Upward Awards Celebration

Sunday, February 12

The program will last about an hour. Our guest entertainer will be Jeff Smith from Salt and Light Ministries. After the program teams will move an empty clasroom for 10-15 minutes where coaches will meet with their players and cheerleaders one last time. Each player will be given a special award from the Upward program. Every child receives the same reward. We are not doing refreshments this year.

Heaven's Rain Concert

Heaven's Rain performs a variety of music, to include old favorites as well as original material. Their music is contemporary, with a touch of southern gospel. They strive to bring music into your life that will proved an uplifting, encouraging and spiritual experience. Their hope is that you will walk away from the program with God having spoken to your heart and that you will be richer for it.

The Streams of Christian History

An overview of the six “movements” or “traditions” of the Christian Church and the value each brings to a balanced spiritual life. The book is entitled A Spiritual Formation Workbook by James Bryan Smith and Lynda Graybeal. The basis of this resource was originally developed by Richard Foster (author of the best-selling Celebration of Discipline, Prayer, and other books) and “Renovare,” the Christian formation movement he helped found.

The Greatest of These: Biblical Moorings of Love (by John Indermark)

This study will explore the meaning and practice of love in the Christian faith. What exactly do we mean when we invoke cherished affirmations like 'God is love' and 'love one another?’
