WELCOME TO WARWICK MEMORIAL

United Methodist Church

We Welcome You To Warwick Memorial UMC

All Are Welcome Here. Everyone is welcome to worship with us. You may have been a Christian all your life or you have never set foot in a church. Regardless of how you find your way to us, we invite you to engage and work along-side us as we seek to make the world a better place. As United Methodists, we have an obligation to bear a faithful Christian witness to Jesus Christ, the living reality at the center of the Church’s life and witness. To fulfill this obligation, we reflect critically on our biblical and theological inheritance, striving to express faithfully the witness we make in our own time. We are a community of believers focused on spreading the love of Jesus to our neighbors in the Denbigh community, across the US and around the world through various mission and ministry opportunities for all ages.

Our Advent worship series was based on “Angels Among Us” from Worship Design Studio and the angels that appear in the story of Jesus’ birth.  It was a very moving sermon series, and was followed by our Epiphany sermon series “Jesus, Man of Mystery . . .”  where we have been learning a lot about “who” Jesus was.  On Wednesday, February 14th, we begin the season of Lent.  Join us for our Lenten sermon series “Good Enough: Embracing the Imperfections of Life and Faith.”  We live in a  culture bent on definitions of a good life as continuous upward mobility – climbing ladders of prosperity with increasingly fabulous experiences that we can post to evermore-likable social media accounts.  We may comb the shelves of the self-help section in search of just the right formula to gain success. Perhaps we even gravitate towards spiritual leaders who promise great rewards if we only do “the right thing.” But life happens, right? Most times we ae not moving upward but trying to repair the rung we’ve just slipped from. So what if we stopped climbing and started fertilizing, watering, and blooming right where we find ourselves? Welcome to a Lent of affirming a faith in which we are blessed, regardless, and where we can lean into embracing our “good enough” lives.

Our church library is a large resource for various different books. Click the image below to search our on-line database to see if we have the book you are looking for.

You can stop by any time the church is open to sign out your book or drop off books you have borrowed in the past.
